GOLDEN WHIPTAIL PROJECT

Queensland
Gold Tin Epithermal Project
Ownership
100%
Opportunity
Golden Whiptail is an advanced gold and tin project littered with numerous historic gold and tin mine shafts.

The project hosts a high priority target area of known gold and copper mineralisation that is 9 km2 in area, can be rapidly and cheaply assessed using MFT to delineate the extent of the proven mineralisation at depth and along strike targeting a Gympie Goldfields type deposit.
Project
Tec Minerals’ Golden Whiptail project encompasses one granted exploration licence covering 173 km2 in the famous Gympie Goldfields region of Queensland.

The project is located west of the well-known Gympie Goldfields (3.7 million ounces Au endowment) near the city of Gympie in South East Queensland.

Golden Whiptail is an advanced, highly prospective epithermal gold and tin project that is located in proven gold terrain that is littered with numerous historic gold and tin mine shafts.

The project hosts a high priority target area of proven gold and copper mineralisation from previous mine workings that is 3 km by 3 km containing a variety of rock types but the proximity of gold to the dioritic intrusives and associated shear zones.

Tec Minerals will be targeting the depth extent of these veins, particularly below existing shafts, where the proven mineralisation and footprint suggest high potential for a major gold deposit.
Exploration
5 scout drill holes totalling 611 metres have been completed at Golden Whiptail, displaying shallow gold. The best results to date include 10 metres @ 2.9 g/t Au.

Data reprocessing has provided multiple exploration walk up drill targets. Furthermore, rock chip samples have returned 5.76 g/t Au and 3.56 g/t Au on hematite gossanous mullock material. Base metals were also highly anomalous with up to 1% Cu, 1% Zn and over 4000 g/t Pb assayed.

Significant tin mineralisation has also been detected on the project, with the tin occurrences almost exclusively contained at the margin of the Toondahra Granite in the north east of the project area.

Tec Minerals plans to quickly and cheaply assess the epithermal gold potential of the previous mine workings at Golden Whiptail utilising a targeted MFT phase 1 satellite spectroscopy survey to delineate the extent of the gold mineralization at depth and along strike at Golden Whiptail.

This MFT survey will quickly and cheaply inform whether there are subsequent resource drilling programs warranted at depth below the existing mine workings. This phase 1 MFT survey is expected to be complete within 1 month of commencement.
