Mineral Finder Technology (MFT)

MFT is a proven and disruptive satellite-based exploration technology that can identify sub-surface mineralisation using non-invasive proprietary techniques for a fraction of the cost of traditional exploration.

The Science

All materials and elements transmit and absorb electromagnetic radiation and as result have their own unique electromagnetic resonant frequency and wavelength.

It is an established principle in geology and geophysics that orebodies in the subsoil and bedrock create electromagnetic anomalies in the earth’s magnetic field. With the right equipment, these anomalies can be detected passively and measured quite precisely to identify high probability exploration targets.

MFT examines the deep blue and ultraviolet range of the electromagnetic spectrum to detect the unique electromagnetic resonant frequency and wavelength signature of target minerals in the area under exploration.

MFT uses a proprietary database of the electromagnetic resonant frequencies of over 100 individual elements to detect the presence of the target minerals of interest.

MFT detects such mineral anomalies in the area of interest through a 3-phase process of screening for and mapping such anomalies at increasing levels of accuracy.

Tec Minerals is not aware of any other passive technology that can deliver the 3-dimensional level of detail and accuracy achieved with MFT.

MFT Process

The MFT exploration programme involves 3 phases of work as illustrated below.

Phase 1

Remote Sensing Satelite Spectography
Satellite based remote data capture and processing.

This phase confirms the presence of target mineralisation over an area of interest (tenement scale or drill target scale) and is the gateway to further phases of MFT work.

Phase 2

Field Sensing FSPEF & VERS
Non-invasive ground based short pulse electromagnetic field analysis and vertical electro-resonance sounding.

This work provides greater definition of the likely concentration and
depth of mineralisation identified in phase 1.

Phase 3

Laboratory Work
Laboratory analysis, mapping and report writing to inform subsequent high probability drilling programmes.

Key Benefits of MFT

A New Paradigm in Mineral Exploration and Discovery

Reduced Cost of Discovery
The probability of success for traditional green fields exploration drilling is less than 5%.

Remote MFT surveys confirm mineralisation prior to drilling and reduce the end-to-end cost of discovery byorders of magnitude.
Shorter Discovery Timeframes
Today, timeframes from the commencement of exploration to discovery are typically 5-7 years.

MFT reduces the time to discovery to 2-3 years.
Higher Drilling Success Rates
Remote MFT surveys confirm mineralisation prior to drilling and increase the probability of success of subsequent drilling substantially.
Lower Environmental Impact
Traditional exploration requires soil sampling, trenching and geophysics leading to low probability drilling.

MFT removes the need for many of these steps and results in higher probability drilling leading to less drill holes per discovery and lower environmental impact.
